Beer Barons' World of Beer Festival

The festival saw our numbers heading back in the right direction this year. There was a great selection of beers and some very interesting VIP beers. A portion of this years proceeds will again benefit the proposed Museum of Beer and Brewing facilities fund. The remainder will be used to expand next years festival.

Over 150 beers from over 50 breweries were available for sampling. Our rarest being the Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout aged in Maple syrup barrels. The mostly complete list is available under the breweries link above,

Many people showed interest in our homebrewing demos, ably organized by Mike Rice and there were some major props to the homebrewed beers including the Bourbon Barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout that we brewed at the 2008 festival. A special thanks to Dan Schlosser for providing several of his renown beers.

Attendees and vendors both had very positive comments about the event. We look forward to an expanded festival next year. If you'd like to help out with poster distribution, beer selection, or otherwise contact us here.

We'd love it if you told all your friends and anybody you meet about our festival and encourage them to attend. We have cards with the future dates of festivals available at Beer Barons meetings and they will be out at bars and liquor stores throughout the area toward the end of 2009. The more people we get to attend, the more beers we can have available for you!

The next World of Beer will be on Saturday June 5th, 2010.
